It was one of those games where there was not a single second that
your heart can stop beating. Goals came as early as the 12th minutes
as Marcelo Zalayeta somehow managed to get pass the Ghanaian defence
to push the ball into the left side of the goalpost. After that Ghana
kept pounding and pounding onto the Uruguayan goal but came out zip.
Instead, with mistake from the defence Walter Alves broke free with
just the goalie to beat put Uruguay 2 up in the 44th minutes. Ghana
somehow in the nick of time stroke back in the last minutes of the
first half to put the score 2-1. The second half
was all the same with both teams kept pressuring each other. It was a
break for Ghana when Alejandro Botta scored an own goal off a corner
kick an d now the score was 2-2. The score stands till the end of regular
time. In the sudden death extra time Alvaro Berrospe amazingly with
his left foot send Uruguay to an All-Copa finals on Saturday.
